Biography

My greatest strengths as an attorney are my determination, thoroughness, and empathy. Helping people, resolving open conflicts, bringing satisfaction & peace of mind to clients, and being intellectually stimulated are some of the things I love most about practicing law. The desire to seek fairness & justice on behalf of others is what really inspired me to become an attorney. I have served in various Church and community volunteer organizations over the years, and served as Mission President for the Japan Sapporo Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (1985-1988). I proudly serve as a board member for the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness.

Starting in 1976 as an associate in Lakeland, FL, I have over thirty-five years of experience in commercial real estate, leasing, finance/loan closings, real estate development, business transactions and corporate law. My clients include developers, large corporations and small businesses, as well as individuals, banks and lending institutions, title insurance companies, large landowners, and agricultural interests. I have extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law, including shopping centers, office buildings, developments of regional impact, complex transactions, developer agreements, leasing, zoning, and representation of clients before governmental, quasi-governmental, and regulatory bodies.
