Biography
Unlike many, my decision to go to law school did not start with law-related TV shows like Law and Order, Perry Mason, or Suits. When I graduated from BYU with my undergraduate degree, I took a job at Merrill Lynch in Los Angeles, California. While at Merrill Lynch, I realized that a post-graduate degree would help me in employment. I also enjoyed being around business transactions and seeing the value professional consultants and advisors bring to their clients. I observed the critical role of attorneys. The legal team’s decisions and analysis always seemed impactful.
These experiences, coupled with the advice of several successful business owners that I admired, inspired me to go to law school. Prior to working at BM&M I worked with an in-house counsel legal team for a large private investment firm in San Francisco. I also clerked for a regional law firm located in the Bay Area.
My favorite part of being a real estate attorney is that every day I have the opportunity to help someone. I enjoy interacting with my clients, being trusted by them, and helping them navigate through various legal issues or transactions. It is very gratifying to see my clients’ successes and be a part of it. Reliability is my greatest strength as a real estate attorney. I believe my clients can depend on me and feel they are in good hands when we work together on their legal matters. If I had not chosen to practice law, I would have pursued a career in private equity or something associated with ESPN.
People may be surprised to learn that I served a 2-year mission for my church in Poland, and studied overseas in Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. I love sports and the outdoors, especially the beach. I have triplets and am married to a beautiful wife. There is nothing I am more passionate about. I have noticed that the happiest time of year for me just happens to coincide with the college football season.
